On March 8, 2022, the European Innovation Council (EIC) launched the ninth edition of the EU Award for Women Innovators. The award recognizes the women entrepreneurs behind Europe’s breakthrough innovations and aims to inspire women to follow in the footsteps of their fellow innovators.

The EU Prize for Women Innovators is funded under the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation program. The EIC will award three prizes of EUR 100,000 each to the most inspiring female innovators in the EU and associated countries, including Ukraine. At the same time, on the occasion of the European Year of Youth, the EIC will award an additional three prizes of EUR 50,000 each to promising “emerging innovators” under the age of 35.

The award is available to women from all EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associates who have set up an innovative company.

The application deadline is August 18, 2022, 17:00 CET. The prize is awarded by the European Innovation Council (EIC) and the Executive Agency for SMEs (EISMEA) and the winners are selected by an independent jury.

Applications must be submitted via the form available on the EIC website.
