Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs
Even 6.6 thousand Euro funding for ambitious people who want to gain knowledge and skills during international exchange. The Polish Agency for Enterprise Development, as one of 4 points operating in Poland, invites you to participate in the projects “Erasmus for young entrepreneurs” and “Erasmus Global” financed directly by the European Commission. Participants can implement the program, among others in the United States, Singapore and many European countries.
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs and Erasmus Global are programs for people who have started a business in the last 3 years or are serious about doing so. The idea of both programs is for novice entrepreneurs to gain experience on foreign markets, establish valuable knowledge and learn foreign languages. In practice, the exchange participant stays in a foreign company for a period of 1 to 6 months. The length of stay depends on the selected program. The European Commission grants start-up entrepreneurs a grant that they can spend on paying for the costs of staying in a new place.
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs provides for trips to European countries that can last from a month to a maximum of six. The maximum co-financing in this case is 6.6 thousand. euro. Erasmus Global offers 1-3 month affiliate programs in countries such as the USA (states: New York and California), Singapore, South Korea, Canada (states: British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec), Israel and Taiwan. Co-financing that can be covered has been supporting young entrepreneurs for 12 years, while in Poland this program has been available since 2012. The most frequently chosen destinations are the countries of southern Europe – Spain, Italy and Portugal.
How can I take part in the exchange?
Persons willing to participate in the program should complete the application in English, in which there are questions, among others for motivation to participate in the exchange, previous professional experience and a business plan describing the idea for your own business. You must also attach your CV to the form. Additionally, it is necessary to select a local contact point in Poland, which will be responsible for intermediation between the participant, the foreign enterprise and the European Commission. After accepting the application, the participant will receive access to the database containing information about the host entrepreneurs, from among which he can choose 5 companies. If the company indicated by the participant decides to accept it, the process of concluding a contract, preparatory training and induction begins. A contact point from Poland conducts all processes.
The application form is available on the program website.
