The Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator at the Wrocław University of Technology was established in 2006. Its mission is to spread entrepreneurship, innovation and support the commercialization of knowledge and technology among people from the academic community. AIP provides consulting, pre-incubation and incubation services. He supported the creation of over 250 academic companies. He launched a legal, accounting and tax, subsidy and business advice point for his clients. It promotes academic entrepreneurship by organizing training courses, conferences, workshops and entrepreneurship competitions. AIP is part of a wider initiative to support academic entrepreneurs – the Lower Silesian Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator, the initiative of the Wrocław Technology Park and 12 universities in Lower Silesia.

The Academic Entrepreneurship Incubator organizes workshops, trainings and webinars addressed to academic entrepreneurs in the field of law, accounting, business financing, intellectual property, sales, internet marketing, building your own brand, obtaining financing for company development, product certification, acquiring an investor, as well as skills “Soft”, for example, negotiations, public appearances.

The Career Office of Wrocław University of Science and Technology is a unit dedicated to cooperation with enterprises and institutions as potential employers for university students and graduates. It creates opportunities to build the employer’s brand by co-organizing events such as job fairs, company presentations on campus or development programs: mentoring program, series of training and workshops for students. The Career Office runs an intermediary portal – a database of companies and institutions that publish job and internship offers, as well as a database of candidates. Currently, about 1,500 employers are registered in the database, publishing an average of 300-500 job and internship offers, and about 6,800 candidates.

As part of the activities related to the creation and maintenance of a network of contacts between the world of science and business, we actively organize and co-organize innovative projects supporting the connection of scientists with representatives of the economic environment, as well as propagate events organized by the business environment among the academic community. An example of such meetings may be, for example, ETNO Businnes Science Mixer, a meeting which in an innovative form of networking workshops, with coffee brewed by a barista master, allowed for the networking of science and business.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology carries out tasks related to CSR activities by participating in many projects contributing to environmental and climate protection and increasing Europe’s competitiveness. Today’s issues of Europe are decarbonization,
green transition, digitization. In addition, in 2020, the University of the Center for Sustainable Development and Climate Protection was established at the university, in which, in cooperation with the external environment, projects are implemented that correspond to the current needs related to the implementation of current national policies and strategies, including The Ecological Policy of Poland, the Energy Policy of Poland, or the Polish Hydrogen Strategy.
